Saba Azad was born as Saba Singh Grewal on 1 November 1990 in a Sikh family in Delhi. Saba was born in Delhi to a Punjabi father and a Kashmiri mother. She made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with Anil Sr.'s Dil Kabaddi opposite Rahul Bose.
She appeared in Y-Films Mujhse Frandship Karoge as Preeti Sen in a lead role along with newcomers Nishant Dahiya and Saqib Saleem.

Saba is a popular musician and singer in the Indian indie music scene and is part of the widely popular electronic band Madboy/Mink, which she started with actor and composer Imad Shah in 2012. Saba started her own theater company The Skins in 2010 and directed her first play LovePuk which opened at NCPA Experimental Theater in September 2010. Which was staged at Prithvi Theatre.
