Early Life & Education

Gauahar Khan was born on 23 August 1983 in Pune, Maharashtra. Gauahar Khan belongs to a Muslim family. He completed his schooling from Mount Carmel Convent School, Pune. Gauahar Khan did her B.Com degree from Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Pune. Gauahar's mother's name is Razia Zafar. Gauahar Khan has 2 elder sisters. One's name is 'Nigaar Khan' who is also an actress by profession and the other sister's name is 'Kausar Khan' who runs her own 'spa' in Dubai by profession. He also has a brother.

Gauahar Khan is an Indian model and actress. She started her career as a model and participated in Femina Miss India contest in 2002.

Khan started his career as a model. In 2002, at the age of 18, she participated in the Femina Miss India pageant, where she finished fourth and won the title of Miss Talented. Later that year, she represented India at the Miss International pageant. Khan appeared in a small role in the film Miss India: The Mystery as a model participant.

She appeared in a few music videos with Bombay Vikings' one "Hawa Mein Udti Jaye", which became extremely popular. She anchored the film gossip show Page 3 on Zoom Television.

In 2004, Khan entered Bollywood with two films, Aan: Men at Work and Shankar Dada MBBS, a Telugu film with item songs.

In February 2009, she participated in Sony TV's celebrity dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3, where she became the first runner up of the show.

He made his acting debut in 2009 with the Yash Raj Films production Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.

On 30 November 2014, Khan was slapped during the shooting of a singing reality show titled Bharat Ke Raw Stars by a member of the audience, who asked her to wear a short dress.

Police arrested 24-year-old Aqeel Malik for assaulting the actress at the show's studio in Mumbai. He quoted the man as saying to Khan that "being a Muslim woman, she should not have worn such a short dress". He was later produced in the court on 1 December 2014.

In May 2015, Khan made his Punjabi debut with the film Oh Yaara Ainvai Ainvai Lut Gaya, which starred Gunjan Kaur opposite Jassi Gill.

In October 2015, Khan participated in Zee TV's I Can Do That and was paired opposite Bani J. Khan emerged as the runner-up first while Rithvik Dhanjani emerged as the winner.

In 2016, Khan began the year by appearing for the item song "Jawaani Le Doobi" in Ekta Kapoor's film Kya Kool Hain Hum 3.

Apart from this, an accident happened with her during the ramp walk in a fashion show, due to which Gauhar once again joined the headlines.
